theRiver's Amazing Race II
Saturday, April 19, 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Depart from Prairie Lakes Church
Cost: FREE
You've seen the TV show--couples compete against each other as they each complete challenges and figure out clues that guide them from one destination to the next.  Well, we're inviting you to get a team of four together, sign up on a Sunday night (starting March 30) at theRiver, and compete for some big (and we mean BIG) giveaways in our very own version of "Amazing Race."

Transportation will be provided.  After you meet and get oriented at the church, your team will be oriented and paired with a driver.  You'll then be directing him or her to take you to various locations in and around Cedar Falls... and Waterloo... and Black Hawk county... well, Northeast Iowa, really... as you figure out clues and complete tasks.

The deadline for signing up is Sunday, April 13th.  See you on the road!

Finals Study Night
Sunday, May 4, Monday, May 5, & Tuesday, May 6
5:30 p.m. - 12:00 a.m. each night

Finals make life stressful, and being stressed is not fun.  But, life's a little easier if we all can be stressed together... and it gets even better with some caffeine and comfort food!

So come up to Prairie Lakes Church during finals week, starting
Sunday night, May 4, from 5:30 p.m. to 12 a.m.  The church will be open for you to study during that time on Monday and Tuesday evenings as well.  It will not be available on Wednesday due to our Middle School and High School programming.

Here's what we are offering you:
-FREE caffeinated beverages of all sorts
-FREE food, from fresh fruit to fresh cookies
-FREE Wifi throughout the building
-access to printers and wired CPUs
-designated break areas (PS3, Wii, XBox 360)
-designated quiet study areas

Get away from crowded libraries and the so-called "quiet" hours in the dorms... and get some studying done with us!
