    We will turn the Kidventure large group room into a movie theater complete with popcorn!  The children will see the Disney film, Joseph: Prince of Dreams.  This film is not rated and the review from family.org follows:

What’s It About: The production team behind The Prince of Egypt retells the biblical story of Joseph as chronicled in the book of Genesis (chapters 37 and 39-46).

Who’s It For: All ages, though very young children may be unsettled by intense dream sequences and abusive behavior.

The Message: Persevering through dark times can yield great rewards. God’s role in Joseph’s comeback is clear, reinforced by "You Know Better Than I," a song addressing His loving omniscience. Also, when Pharaoh alludes to the young man’s ability to interpret dreams, Joseph redirects the praise ("Not me, your excellency; my explanation comes from God"). An upbeat musical number deals with making the most of bad situations ("You’ve got to pick whatever grows at your feet ..."). The 75-minute video puts a premium on faith, forgiveness, honor and family unity.

Does It Deliver: This reasonable treatment of biblical history blends hand-drawn and computer animation that, while not as eye-popping as Prince of Egypt, is impressive for a direct-to-video title. Artfully executed dream sequences. Uplifting songs. It also takes fewer liberties than Prince of Egypt did—a great way to supplement family Bible study.

WHO: Children entering Kindergarten—5th Grade

 WHAT: A weekend experience filled with fun music, exciting teaching and meaningful small group time centered on Christ-centered principles.

WHEN:  Each worship service, Saturday night and Sunday morning, for the 5:30 p.m., 9:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. hours

WHERE: Prairie Lakes Church, in the Kidventure Wing

WHY: To allow weekend services to be a time of uninterrupted spiritual growth for parents and an exciting atmosphere for children to learn about Jesus Christ.

Kidventure opens 20 minutes prior to Saturday evening and Sunday morning services, and runs throughout the entire service times.

The curriculum used in Kidventure is called 252 Basics.  252 Basics is a unique approach to curriculum.  It is built around three basic truths every child should embrace according to what Jesus modeled in Luke 2:52.

I need to make the wise choice.
I can trust God no matter what.
I should treat others the way I want to be treated.

Each basic truth is amplified by a weekly key concept and systematically taught over a three-year track.  The curriculum includes 150 Bible stories and is based on a core virtue and memory verse as a framework for each month.
