- About This Sermon
This week in our “Really?!” series, Pastor Jesse Tink shared some startling statistics from the Barna Group research firm. They found that over 80% of the people surveyed in our part of Iowa are what they call “casual Christians.” There are actually more non-Christians in this part of Iowa than the national norm. Pastor Jesse said there are two camps of people in our congregation: one who are committed Christians and can’t believe these statistics are correct and another who are not believers and can’t understand people who do believe. “Casual Christians” need to know being a Christian means first and foremost they love like Jesus loves, which only happens if they attach themselves to Jesus and become His disciple.
